Take advantage of the mini vacation you’ve been given every weekend to fuel you for the week to come! Unwind, but don’t lose focus. Stay productive, but keep it leisurely. Here’s how to make the best out of your Saturday and Sunday, to ensure you maintain a healthy state of mind.
1. Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Be sure to eat healthy nutritious meals this weekend, you’ve got the time to really think about your food, take advantage of it! Nutritious meals are a great way to make up for all the nutrients you’ve missed out on while working.
2. Soak Up Some Sun
Take some time to be outdoors this weekend. Enjoy the fresh air and get that vitamin D! Being active outdoors is one of the best ways to let loose.
Or read, or nap, and just lay in grass. Do something that doesn’t require too much energy and will you to clear your mind. This will help you to think and problem solve more effectively during the week as you’ve given your brain a rest.
Catch up on those precious hours missed. If you’re one to stay up late working, take advantage of the weekend by making sure the body is well rested.
5. Do Something Different
Whatever your usual routine is… change it up! Experiencing new things helps broaden the mind and keep things fresh. There’s no reason you can’t have fun and relax while doing something different.
6. Stay Hydrated!
If you’ve decided to have a night out on the town be sure to keep drinking water. Staying hydrated helps to keep your body functioning at optimal levels and can help prevent or ease hangovers! Also try watermelon of coconut juice as they are packed with electrolytes.
Make the weekend about YOU! You should feel great about yourself and go back into work Monday morning feeling revived and refreshed. Have an amazing weekend every weekend, it’s good for the soul.
