What is a GMO? A genetically modified organism is the result of a laboratory process where the genes from the DNA of a species are extracted and artificially forced into the genes of an unrelated plants or animals. The foreign genes come from bacteria, viruses, insects, and even humans.
Genetic modification affects many products we consume on a daily basis. There are certain foods out there that contain GMOS, be cautious. GMOs are present in 60 to 70 percent of foods on supermarket shelves in the US. Some goods that are genetically modified are papayas, milk, squash, and corn on the cob.
GMOs are not safe, they have restrictions/outright bands on the production and sale of GMOS. Sixty-four countries around the world require genetically modified foods to be labelled, the US is not one of those sixty-four. Try choosing non-GMO labeled products as much as you can to avoid any problems.
Stay away from products with GMOs! A healthier life is a happier life
