Ever wonder what the liver does for you? The liver is one of our bodies most important organs, as it has a high variety of functions. From manufacturing proteins to fighting infection and toxins, the liver is one of the bodies most hard working organs and needs to be taken care of accordingly.
Cleansing your liver helps to keep it functioning efficiently so that your body can operate at optimal health. A liver cleanse really isn’t as complicated as you might think, all you need is a pitcher of water and a cup of raisins.
Raisins are nutrient rich, despite the fact that they are dried out. They contain rich antioxidants, unique to grapes, which help to stop the oxidation of cells in order to prevent the development of cancer. Your liver can use these nutrients to protect it from toxins that it constantly works to protect the body against.
Soak your cup of raisins in a large bottle of water, at least 3 cups worth, over night. This will allow nutrients from the raisins to pass into the water. Drink the water, and eat the remaining raisins. The substantial amount of water is passed through the liver and helps to flush it out. The combination of raisins and water is a great way to detox the liver.
